Topic: Anyone got any info on this case?

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

So I ordered the Hercules 4-MX a couple of days ago and immediately started looking for cases after I check'd the size specs and realized the practically brand new Flight Zone case I have for the RMX isn't going to work. I've emailed, called and also replied to a tweet on twitter trying to get info on where I can pre-order or purchase the case (since it says pre-order now on their website). If anyone has seen or heard anything pls. let me know. Mahalo!

Ummm...o.k.

It will fit in a RMX case, but you will have to remove the foam from one side. That's what we did at the Mobile Beat Convention.

Im not really a fan of those cases for these new smaller controllers that are making it mainstream these days. I dont think the manufactures realize you need more room than what they give us. Wireless mic, XLR cables, your gnna have at least three power supplies (with wallwarts), hardrives.

I dont know how the rest of you set up ur stuff, but Im a bit anal with cables not showing and having a nice, clean presentation. IMO i dont think cases like this give us that opportunity

Has anybody ever added 1/4 plugs to there case?? Then all you would need is like a 3 inch long cable if that from the RMX to where ever you put them on the case. So all I would have to do plug into the case if you know what I mean......if you have how easy of a job was it?

Thanx for the info, I was looking at the specks on the similar case that I the RMX in now which is practically brand new and really didn't want to dish out another $200 plus for a case. I think I'll be taking your suggestion on this one.

I'm with you 100% with trying to keep the cables neat and of course out of site when possible, which is why I use a tabletop rack mount case with mixing board (which I also run the RMX into) , wireless mic receiver dbx DriveRack PX and a Furman PL-PRO DMC which helps keep it a bit cleaner since it's only really one cord coming out of the rack mount and I get creative with the 1/4" coming out of the RMX going into the mixing board. The smaller cases do limit what and how we can do things but gig 3+ times a week in smaller venues does beat dragging out the 1200's weight and size wise.

Back in the day when I was using Denon 5000s, I think...I modified the case with a fan (sucking the hot air out) and XLR connectors to the bottom of the case. It was super quick and super freaking heavy! I love the direction the controllers are going just the cases will never be quite what we r looking for.

I use swanflight in the uk as they will make any size case up for you and are really cheap, plus really good quality.

There is no provision for cables at all with that case, all you can do it dangle them over the rear.

This is not a professional solution, for the most part I design my own, it's more expensive but you get the attention to detail which the manufactures sometimes mist out on with the off the shelf offerings.

I'm sorry, I was talking about a Marathon case, see here. They are similar to Odyssey, but you need to make sure of the dimensions. I don't want you to start ripping out foam, and then it still does not fit. Sorry for the confusion. As for wire management, my table has holes for the wires to drop down out of site. My old rack had matching holes on the bottom, so you saw nothing. Now I use http://www.cyberguys.com/product-details/?productid=15382&core_cross=SEARCH#page=page-1" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">this.

Thanks for all the feedback once again fellas, also in all fairness....lol, Odyssey did call back but wasn't to much help but hey it's nice to get your calls returned in any "case" (no pun intended...or maybe it is idk)... :) Aloha!
